Larry’s Elmwood directing outings include She Loves Me (2018) The Land of Cockaigne (workshop) and assistant on A Lesson Before Dying (2017) with mentor Kathy Gnazzo. Upcoming for 2019-2020 he is directing Next Fall, the first show of the 72nd season. Last summer he directed a 55-cast member production of Bye Bye Birdie at Curtain Call Summer Youth Theatre and just recently finished Big River there. On stage, he was in La Cage Aux Folles (Albin/Zaza), An American Daughter (Morrow), Sunday in the Park… (Franz), and The Goat (Billy), all at Elmwood. Other credits: Noises Off! (Garry/Roger), Antrim; Ragtime (Father), Mary Poppins (Bert), and Jesus Christ Superstar (Pilate), Curtain Call, Stamford; Other Desert Cities (Trip), Town Players of New Canaan. Larry is the founder and principal of Mather Building Arts and Craftsmanship High School in NYC, a Career/Technical school partnered with the National Park Service. He also teaches in the summers at Columbia Teachers College in their leadership program.
