Kathleen C. Gnazzo has a BA in Education from SUNY Cortland and an MA in Dance from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. She taught history to high school students for 32 years at Clarkstown North High School in New City. She also served her colleagues for 25 years as a representative of the Clarkstown Teachers Association. During the 1970s she danced with the Moshe Ariel Dance Company in New York City and the Meadoworks Dance company in White Plains. Between 1984 and 2002 she choreographed and directed the musical productions at Clarkstown North High School. In 1993 she received the Saga Yearbook Dedication from the senior class at Clarkstown North High School and in 2012 the People Who Make a Difference Award from the Clarkstown Central School District. She danced in her first Elmwood production, Dames at Sea, in 1987 and has since performed, produced, choreographed and directed at the playhouse. Her most recent work in the 2016-2017 season was A Lesson Before Dying, which she directed. In 2007 she became a Life Member at Elmwood Playhouse and has been a board member since 2015. Currently she is liaison to Plant Operations and Membership. Kathy is married to Mike Gnazzo who is an Elmwood lighting designer, our theatre historian and an Elmwood Life Member.
