February Workshop – Shakespeare – Ripped From The Headlines

 In News

Reading of scenes from Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale” resounds with themes that could come from CNN or Fox News

A government leader perceives a threat – one that is exaggerated and largely imaginary – yet he refuses to listen to reason from his advisers even when his perception is proved to be completely false. This may sound like today’s headlines, but Shakespeare wrote this 400 years ago in “The Winter’s Tale,” excerpts of which will be done as a staged reading for the February workshop.
