A crisis of faith propels an ordinary middle-aged man into an extraordinary journey of self-discovery. This wickedly funny and spiritually complex play examines the effects of one man’s awakening on himself and his family.
3 Women, 3 Men
Ken Carpenter (M, age 55 – 60) upper middle class, successful, a loving husband and father. Bewildered by his loss of faith but willing to do what’s necessary to get himself back on track.
Nancy Carpenter (F, age 55 – 60) Ken’s wife, equally bewildered about Ken’s crisis but loves him and tries her best to be supportive.
Reverend Todd (M, mid 40s) a Baptist preacher who counsels the Carpenter family. Sincere in both his beliefs and his desire to help.
Pat Monday (F, mid 40s) Adventurous, sexy, takes no prisoners.
Tamrya (F, Black, Londoner, British accent a must, late 20s) Smart, sarcastic, working as a bartender in a London hotel.
Harry Brown (M, British accent a must, early 30s) Tamyra’s flatmate, a talented but unsuccessful sculptor, a chronic underachiever.
