Lisa Spielman
is happily active on both sides of the footlights. Past Elmwood Playhouse productions include Les Misérables (Fantine), The Three Sopranos (Sundays at Seven), The Secret Garden (Rose Lennox), Reversals (Workshop), August Osage County (Ivy, Workshop), and Urinetown. Other favorite recent projects: Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris (Darien Arts Center), Parade (Mrs. Phagin), White Plains Performing Arts Center), Aaron Sorkin’s Hidden In This Picture (Director, Red Monkey Theater Group), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania/Hippolyta, RMTG), Hamlet (Asst. Director, RMTG), 9 to 5 (Judy Bernly, Clocktower Players), Lone Star (Director, RMTG), Camelot (Guenevere, Clocktower Players), Twelfth Night (Maria, RMTG), and 110 in the Shade (Lizzie Curry, Antrim Playhouse). When she is not performing, Dr. Spielman is a consulting research psychologist and statistician with Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Weill-Cornell Medical College, and the Brain Trauma Foundation. Deep gratitude to Kate for the opportunity and magnificent education, to Allison for being there and being brilliant, and to the cast for their talent and professionalism.
