is an award-winning writer/producer for theater, industrials and events. At Elmwood, he performed in Little Shop of Horrors, Into the Woods, Tim, Assassins, and the Comedy Improv workshop. He directed The Super, Fantastic, Magical Adventures of Bob, Fools and the American premiere of Israel Horovitz’s Man in Snow. Elsewhere, Bernie co-wrote the book and lyrics for the musical The Prince and the Pauper, which played Off-Broadway at the Lamb’s Theatre in 2002 and 2003; and contributed lyrics to A Christmas Survival Guide (both published by Samuel French). His work has been on “Sesame Street” and “Nickelodeon,” at BAM, 92nd Street Y, Queens Theatre in the Park and Lincoln Center’s Outdoor Festival. Bernie has written a number of Hudson Vagabond Puppets musicals, including The Mammoth Follies and Butterfly!, both currently on tour. Bernie is thrilled to reprise the role of Higgs, which he played 34 years ago in NYC.
