“For 20 years Elmwood has been nurturing my lifelong love of the theater. Although, in my high school and college years being on the stage was a priority, it has been deeply satisfying to still be part of the creative process as a producer of eight shows, a member of backstage support staff and a coordinator of lobby displays. I am honored to once again be on the Board, having served previously for five years. It was during my terms, with a vision to assuring the theater’s successful future, that renovation and fundraising plans were initiated, as well as fiscal and operational improvements. The fruits of those labors are evident. Then, and now, I believe my skills and experiences are assets in supporting the Board’s realization of its goals for Elmwood: I worked in production research for WABC-TV News for 10 years, and for the Nyack School District as Communications Director/District Clerk for 28 years. As a graduate of Leadership Rockland, President of my local and state professional organizations, and past and present member of several other non-profit county Boards, I am familiar with the rewards of collaboration and compromise. I am excited to once again be part of translating the theater’s dreams into reality.”
